- ITIL (the IT Infrastructure Library) is the most widely accepted approach to IT Service Management in the world. ITIL provides a cohesive set of best practices, drawn from public and private sectors internationally, supports and is supported by the British Standards Institution's standard for IT Service Management (BS 15000:2002). ITIL qualifications provide evidence of a professional approach, understanding, skills and competencies in the complex processes involved in IT Service Management, and are accredited by ISEB.

- ITIL version 3
- ITIL version 3 is the latest version and Pygmalion was one of the first training companies to offer training courses. A key change to ITIL under version 3 has been a focus on the alignment of IT and 'the business', on the management of IT throughout the complete lifecycle, and on the importance of creating business value, rather than just the execution of processes.

- A syllabus has been published for the new ITIL Foundation Certificate, and exams are available from 13 June 2007. Details for higher levels of certification have not yet been announced.
