ITIL version 3 is being released this year and Pygmalion is one of the first training companies to offer training courses on the new version.   A key change to ITIL under version 3 has been a focus on the alignment of IT and 'the business', on the management of IT throughout the complete lifecycle, and on the importance of creating business value, rather than just the execution of processes.   ITIL version 3 comprises a set of core texts that will be supported by additional complementary and web based materials. The core volumes of ITIL version 3 are:  Service Strategy Service Design Service Transition Service Operation Continual Service Improvement.     A syllabus has been published for the new ITIL Foundation Certificate and exams are available from 13 June 2007. Details for higher levels of certification have not yet been announced.
